Paragraph 1:
When I called her back, the story of the cat was so funny that I forgot how upset I was. Buster had been adopted as a kitten by our neighbor’s daughter, but the cat had to stay in the girl’s bedroom because they had dogs. During the day, he was let out to walk around the neighborhood, and this was when he would come to our home to be with Willow, eat her food, play with her toys and please her mommy and daddy. Then he would leave us, go back home and spend the night with his mommy.
Paragraph 2:
The next day, the neighbor’s young daughter came over to collect her cat. I forced a smile as I watched Buster being carried away. He had brought so much joy to our family. But about half an hour later, the young girl called and asked if she could come over. She brought her cat back and bravely stated that she felt Buster would be happier with us because he could have the run of the house without fear of being hurt by dogs. I was so happy, and I told her that she could come by to see Buster anytime.
A
21. A。 I knew the day would come when my little girl Sophie would learn to talk and inevitably start asking those questions.
My little girl’s mind is a beginner’s mind — curious, open to new ideas, eager to learn, and not based on knowledge that already exists.
We might...but there is one thing for certain可知,對(duì)于愛因斯坦是否有特別的天賦,我們也許會(huì)爭(zhēng)論,但是有一件事情是確定的。
Every year, over 7.72 trillion kilograms of plastic ... are a “soup” of floating rubbish.
They got a long floating U-shaped tube ... making it easy for a ship to collect and remove the plastic.
But this success is still just the beginning of the work of the Ocean Cleanup. They want a better and larger system.
They would report how many times a week they used social media on average ... on the social media.
28. A。 根據(jù)第三段... social media may harm girls’ mental health和第四段The effect was especially clear among girls ...
根據(jù)最后一段“If teenagers can change their unhealthy lifestyle and cyber-bullying can be reduced, the positive effects of social media use can be supported,”可推知,好的上網(wǎng)習(xí)慣可以幫助青少年從社交媒體中受益。
