(W) Hello, everyone! Welcome to Canada. First, I’d like to introduce my country to all of you. Ottawa is the capital of Canada, but the biggest city is Toronto and it has one of the world’s tallest buildings — the CN Tower. It’s about 553 meters high. Canada has two national languages — English and French. The French-speaking people mainly live in Quebec. Most Canadians speak English. Niagara Falls is between the USA and Canada. The Canadian part of Niagara Falls is 790 meters wide. In Canada a lot of electricity is made from water. OK! We are going to walk to the CN Tower tomorrow. So now you may go back to your rooms and have a good rest.
聽第二篇獨(dú)白,回答第21-25小題。
(M) As we know, Thomas Edison was one of the most famous inventors in the world. He invented the light bulb, the telephone, the movie camera and many other important inventions. In all, he invented about 1,093 helpful things that have changed our world. But do you know any interesting things that happened to him? Well, let me tell you.
Edison liked joking. He was so famous that everything he did and said was news. He liked to give reporters interesting things to write about. In 1920, he told a news reporter that he was working on a machine that could talk to the dead. As a result, newspapers all over the world reported the story. But only a few years later, Edison said in public that he had made it up.

Someone famous in history I admire most
In history, there have been many famous people who used to have great influence on China. Confucius is the person that I admire the most in history. He is one of the most famous thinkers and educators in ancient China. I admire him first because he supported love and kindness. From him, I know and understand the importance of loving other people and treating other people like brothers and sisters. Secondly, he encouraged me not only to learn but also to think while learning. Thirdly, I learned from him about the way to choose a friend and to treat a friend in a right way. In China, Confucius is still influencing how we think today.
