第一節(jié)
My Favorite Chinese Musician
Xian Xinghai, a famous Chinese composer, who was born on June 13, 1905 and died on November 30, 1945, is my favorite musician.
Best known for the Yellow River Cantata, Xian Xinghai created nearly 300 works in his whole life. His musical talent was noticed by his teacher in primary school. Although born in a poor family, he still had the opportunity to learn music. After that, he received a good education abroad. When he returned, he used his music as a weapon to fight against the war.
I'm deeply affected by his passion for music and motherland.
第二節(jié)
Paragraph 1:
Soon after Jack got home, he received a call from the police station. Jack was surprised to learn from the policeman that his cousin Tom had been arrested and was taken to the police station. Since Tom's parents had left the town for a business trip, he needed someone else to go there for him. So he gave the policeman Jack's phone number. When asked why Tom was arrested, the policeman said he drove after drinking.
Paragraph 2:
Jack couldn't believe his ears when he heard Tom drove his car after drinking. After all Mike had told him not to do that. Then Jack went to the police station immediately. Sadly, it turned out that Tom couldn't drive for a year and had to take driver's education again because of his illegal behavior. “I really regret what I have done,” Tom said to Jack on their way back. Jack thought of Mike's words again and said, “It's not right to drive after drinking.” Apparently this time Tom couldn't agree more.
