Paragraph 1:
Moving to different states gave me the opportunity to know people from different areas. I have friends all around the United States. My friends put giant smiles on my face. They made me feel purposeful and important, which gave me confidence. Having such great friends who supported me and encouraged me to become a better person made me feel good about myself. I also discovered that I loved being social and communicating with others. Thanks to some great friends, I was able to find a new social and confident aspect of myself.
Paragraph 2:
Although my journey to finding myself has not been smooth, I have made real progress due to soccer and my family's support. Moving around while growing up is not easy. However, I learned to make the best of everywhere I moved by turning my experience positive. Through soccer, I was able to learn the potential of myself. With my family's support, I managed to attend a dream college. And my college continues to make me a well-rounded individual through various courses and provides me with many opportunities to improve my soccer skills. I am grateful for where my journey has led me.

2. A。根據(jù)后面的competing in a kite game及后文的kite flying day可推斷,作者他們有一天的上課時間可以放風箏。
3. B。根據(jù)后面的from the first step to the end可知,老師給的關于做風箏的指示很詳細。

1. came?? come into effect意為“生效”。
2. difficulties??
3. to use。 be reported to do ... 意為“據(jù)報道……”,相當于It is reported that ...。
4. causing。 cause和They(指代most plastic bags)是主動關系,所以用現(xiàn)在分詞作狀語。
5. poisonous?? be poisonous to ...
6. are blown。
7. easily??
8. the。
9. which??
10. for。
