I would like to share my argument for the heated discussion of What Students Should Grasp as First Priority. I think knowledge accumulation of diversity of social and scientific courses is the most significant for middle school students.
Social and scientific knowledge is indispensable for students to develop career which is the reliance for living as contributors to society. Besides, the process of probing knowledge is in fact to foster competence of students. Learning languages will improve the capability of communicative skills and EQ, and knowledge of scientific branches is to nurture students for the meditation of sciences. With the competence and general knowledge of diversity of social and natural sciences, students can assess themselves for their specific potential profession to select their further education in university.
So on the stage of middle school, studying general courses is the most fundamental since what some can do for society matters.
