In fact, the poem has been sleeping for three hundred years. It appeared to the world again. On February 16th, 2018, Liang Jun and his students took part in the program Everlasting Classics on CCTV. They together performed the beautiful song The Leek Flowers, which moved tens of thousands of people in front of the TV. When talking about the reason why Liang chose the poem The Leek Flowers, he said that he hoped his students could learn something important from the silent leek flowers: no matter how hard the life is, we should try to reveal the most beautiful scenery in our heart. That is just what Yuan Mei wanted to express in the little poem. Always remember that life will be in its blooming season sooner or later and what you need to do now is to accept enough wind and rain and snow as well to get ready for it.
